I hadn't visited this site for a while and was delighted to see this chain of emails from some of my old choir buddies. I left Syracuse in 1984 , MA in hand, having sung with the HCC from Fall of 78 to the Spring of 80. I moved to Washington,DC and worked as a editor for the National Geographic Society for 24 years. I retired in 2008 and now have a second career as a editor at the Department of Homeland Security. I have done a lot of singing since my HCC days and a fair amount of touring too. Life is good and this website is a blessing. Thanks, John!

Just found this site. Sang in HCC 65-69, when Mark Spitz conducted and Maggie was the organist, and then when David Johnson took over. We had a big choir (compared to the current group) and singing was the best part of my SU experience. About as far as we traveled was to Cornell one year:) But we did some terrific music. If I can find a place to covert reel-to-reel and it's still readable I'll see if some of that great music can be posted. Great times and great people - I love you Maggie!

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy healthy New Year from Southern California! Thank you for putting this site together! It was great fun to look through those choir tour photos! Wish I could hear you sing something festive! All best! Renee Tourville Werthmann

Thanks for the kind words, Sara... I didn't realize the HCC was so artistic... I joined up for Thursday nights at the V! :)

Just a note to say that I am so appreciative to John M. for his hard work in building this site. I hope it continues to widen as more alum come into the fold. This is a wonderful gift and the recordings are a treasure to keep! The artistry of the group was profound in my humble opinion. Winston STephens brought great passion and raised the bar. When you went to rehearsal, you knew it wasn't amateur hour. I cherish the days and hope not to bore my kids too much with bragging about the range of music we did.
